Timeline at the British Museum

Egypt Timeline details Egypt Timeline

Uploading images of the 2 interesting Timelines I came across at the British Museum.

This Timeline is for the Egypt gallery, and it is obviously handling a lot of time. It starts from 11, 000 BCE to 2, 000 BCE, spanning the artefacts of the galleries it is linked to. It has mentioned ‘detail’ when a large chunk of events takes place within a certain span of time. There are images of objects, monuments and iconic features related to the eras. A map of the whole Egyptian civilisation helps place the names of the sites in a proper context. The Timeline was around 8feet by 3.5 feet and printed on a vinyl/flex material (please correct me if I’m wrong).
